Brenda Hillman’s poetry collections include Loose Sugar (Wesleyan,
1997) and A Geology (Wesleyan, forthcoming). She has edited
an edition of Emily Dickinson’s poetry (Shambhala Publications, 1995),
and has co-edited, with Patricia Dientsfrey, New Writings on Poetics
and Motherhood (forthcoming). Hillman serves on the faculties
of St. Mary’s College in Moraga, CA; Squaw Valley Community of Writers;
and the Napa Valley Writers’ Conference. Among the awards she has
received are Fellowships from the NEA and the Guggenheim Foundation.
