Sawako Nakayasu

Sawako Nakayasu was born in Yokohama, Japan, and has lived mostly in the U.S. since the age of six. She writes poetry, prose, and performance text, and translates from Japanese to English. Her hockey love poems have been collected in Clutch (Tinfish, 2002). She edits Factorial, which is dedicated to promoting and publishing collaborative writing, as well as the Translation section for HOW2, an online journal of contemporary innovative writing by women. Recent texts have been printed in Conundrum, Aufgabe, NAW, 26, Chain, Kenning, PomPom, and Play a Journal of Plays.
