|
Ray Jordan's Cornutus begins by inviting the reader to "enter theatre/separate from skull" -- and through this spare but theatrical serial poem, Jordan explores territory where the specificity of a particular moment is in constant battle with the "Dissolve into memory." In this, his first pamphlet, Jordan sustains a heightened sense of emotion, while retaining a pressure on how words accumulate: the poem remains "localized, the stimulus / becomes weakened, pliable" Ray Jordan lives in Riverside, R.I. He is a founding member of the Spellbinders, a rock band that has performed in southern New England for 20 years. |
