Editors' Note The original impulse
behind tripwire came out of a perceived lack of, and genuine interest
in, venues for emergent and established writers and artists to articulate
their poetics. We hope to provide an open forum for such discussions,
to promote critical thought and community, dialogue and debate,
reflection and provocation. Each issue focuses on themes that seem
to represent pervasive and shared concerns among those attending
these conversations.
Submission Information:
Tripwire invites submissions of essays, translations, interviews,
art & book reviews, bulletins, letters responding to previous issues,
& visual art. Visual art submissions should be reproducible in black
and white; visual artists are encouraged to include a statement
about their work. At this time, we are not accepting unsolicited
poetry for publication. All submissions should include a hard copy
and SASE for response.
The deadline for Tripwire 7 ("Global/Local") has been
extended to July
1.
TRIPWIRE 7: GLOBAL/LOCAL
Whose global? Which locals? Transnational/translational. Cultural
politics of globalization. Poetics of place/site-specific writing/locality.
Routes & roots. Exile & diaspora. Borders, fronteirs, maps & crossings.
Please
mail to the address below or email with submissions &/or
inquiries. Tripwire publishes essays, reviews, art, interviews,
translations, bulletins and "sightings/citings", responses
to previous
issues, and hybrid poetics works. We do NOT publish unsolicited
