1. There's surely a way
To get used to this
Tired is tired, rising is rising.
Yet it's always
New, with the small surprises
And disappointements, disorientation
And sometimes dreams causing
Much to shift. A face is
Coming over the horizon-it's
One of my own I don't recognize. I
tuck it in. Someone is coming.
Warmth- night- memories.
Now something sweet reminds and
Makes forgetting. Small shudders placed
Aside. A victim- overcome it. Pain
Also subsides. Experience engenders
Patience.
